Today I have heard of the introduction into Parliament of a Bill to amend the Veterans Affairs Act 2014. The Bill aims to implement some recommendations from the Patterson Report.
I am setting out below the statement by the Minister, Mr Ron Mark.

For your welfare, the Committee endeavours to have some input into Government policy on veterans, as part of its range of activities. For example, in submissions to Professor Ron Patterson, for his report on the operation of the Veterans’ Support Act 2014.

The Horowhenua Artillery Association have postponed their "Celebrate 60 years" events that were due to be held on 23rd May 2020.
This is postponed until October’s El Alamein luncheon.
The Association AGM and Reunion will be held over the weekend 16-18 October 2020 at Trentham Camp, Upper Hutt.
Remember the Association welcomes anyone who has served the Guns for 3 months or more, so get together a group of your era comrades for a great catchup.
It is with much regret I advise that Lt Col Jim Heard passed away suddenly on December 15, 2019 while on holiday in South Africa.
Rest in Peace Jim.

It is with much regret I advise that Colonel Matthew Beattie, our Colonel Commandant since 2017, passed away at Mary Potter Hospice in Wellington at 1230 hrs yesterday, Monday 9th September. Sarah, Emilie, and Alex were with Matt at the time of his passing.
