The NZ Army Hut at Omori, Lake Taupo
I have had a request for any information, including photos of the NZ Army hut that was located at Omori (Southern end of Lake Taupo), which was mainly used by soldiers who were keen fishermen.
MCADAM, Francis Hardy. WWII NZ Army 49280 17th and 6th Field Regt. NZ Artillery. Passed away peacefully on 1 November 2012 at Redwood Hospital; in his 93rd year.

Greg Thwaite has called in a few favours and used a few contacts to achieve something of a coup (not seriously!). Prince Charles and Camilla will be attending our remembrance service on Sunday morning at the Auckland Museum and Greg is trying to establish the likelihood of a group photo of RNZA Assn members with HRH after the service.
SMITH, Ronald Jack (RJ). RNZA.WO2 Reg No. 462698. Aged 77. Passed peacefully at home on 23 October 2012 surrounded by his family, after a bravely fought battle. As Ron wished, a private family service has been held.

George McElroy passed on peacefully early Monday morning, 15 October 2012.

George is now in Totara Hospice, where he is not expected to live long. If anyone who could visit George, that would be appreciated.
The team in Christchurch has planned a St Barbara's Day Picnic & BBQ for Sunday 2 December 12. The objective is to get as many gunners, families and associates together as possible.
