We have had a request from a Lindsay Campbell, the son of a WW2 14th Light Anti-Aircraft Regt gunner, who is trying to find an official Army photo or photos that were taken of the Regt at Papakura before they left for the war.
It is with regret I inform you that Colin Whyte has marched out for the last time to the Gunpark in the Sky. Colin passed away on 28th October 2017, aged 85.
Colin served in 2 NZ REGT TAIPING MALAYA 59/61 & 161 Bty SVN 1968 and was a former president of the KEV Matamata Branch.
Christchurch, NZ. 13 October 2017. Graham Hutchison holds the dubious honour of being (as far as we know) the South Island's oldest remaining gunner and the world’s record holder of the fastest 100 yard sprint through the dessert with his trousers around his ankles.
We are saddened to advise that Alisoun Masters passed away away on October 23, 2017, at Mayfair Lifecare, Christchurch, aged 80 years.

It is with regret I advise that Ray Speden marched off to the Gunpark in the Sky, peacefully on Wednesday 13 September 2017, at Rowena Jackson Village Invercargill, surrounded by his loving family; aged 86 years.

It is with regret I advise that Ken Edmonds marched off to the Gunpark in the Sky. Ken slipped quietly away aged 80 years at Kamo Home on the 22nd of September 2017.

It is with regret I advise that Harry Haylock marched off to the Gunpark in the Sky. Harry passed away peacefully in the loving care of his friends at Anthony Wilding Retirement Village in Christchurch on 24th Sep, aged 97.

It is with regret I advise that Ivan Goile marched off to the Gunpark in the Sky on the 26th of September, at Waikato hospital. Ivan served for many years as RNZEME LAD Tiffy with 4(G) Mdm Bty and with 3 Fld Regt, and was awarded a BEM in 1978.

Our Royal NZ Artillery Band is taking part. The NZ Police Auckland Choir has since been added to the cast, and the Guest of Honour is the RtHon Sir Don McKinnon ONZ GCMG.
