The article at the link below by Group Capt Catherine McGregor AM was sent to Barry Dreyer a few days ago by Australian Long Tan 6 RAR veterans Bob Buick MM and Dave Sabben MG, with Anzac wishes.

Dave Sabben said in his email "in one interview, Harry [Smith] was asked what saved us and he responded with one word: Artillery. This FYI is in the unlikely event that Catherine is not aware of how strongly the D/6 blokes regard the Artillery support we received on 18 Aug 1966.  We only hope the Arty crews also know! Trust you and yours have a Great ANZAC Day, despite the inevitable sad memories… "
