It is with much regret I advise that Lt Col Jim Heard passed away suddenly on December 15, 2019 while on holiday in South Africa.

Rest in Peace Jim.

Thank you for your service.

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun and in the morning

Jim's funeral with full military honours will be be held at 1.00 PM Saturday 18th January 2020, at Waters Funeral Home, 81 Franklin Road, Pukekohe.

This will be followed by a military burial service involving 16 Fd Regt from 1:50 pm to 3:30 pm. Please gather for this at the Ward Street entrance to the John Hogan Pukekohe Cemetery at 1:50 pm. Family and friends will gather to walk behind James on his final journey.

Firing will take place during this ceremony.

Family warmly invite people to then attend at the RSA Franklin after the grave-side service.
