It is with regret I advise that Dennis Schofield,  former Director of Music of The Band of The Royal Regiment of New Zealand Artillery marched off to the Gunpark in the Sky. Dennis passed away on 16 November 2017 at North Shore Hospital, swiftly and painlessly escaping his dialysis world, aged 73.

Dennis was awarded a Chief of Army Commendation in 2013, and was a former committee member of the Royal NZ Artillery Association.

Rest in Peace Dennis. Thank you for your service.

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn

A service to celebrate Dennis's life will be held in the Main Chapel of the Morrison Funeral Home 220 Universal Drive Henderson, Auckland, on Wednesday 22 November 2017 at 12:30 pm. A composite band of Artillery band members past and present, and members of Auckland brass bands will play.
