It is with regret I advise that Norm Olsen has marched off to the Gunpark in the Sky. Norm passed away peacefully at Thames Hospital, on 22nd November, 2017, aged 92 years.

The 100th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele was marked on the 11th November 2017 by a 100 gun salute, fired at Fort de Seclin near Lille France with WW1 era Ordnance QF 18 pounders. One of the guns was manned by ex RNZA personnel, along with people from other artilleries.
It is with regret I advise that Dennis Schofield, former Director of Music of The Band of The Royal Regiment of New Zealand Artillery marched off to the Gunpark in the Sky.
It is with regret I advise that Bruce Wynyard marched off to the Gunpark in the Sky. Bruce passed away on 14 November 2017, at Waikato Hospital, surrounded by family.

It is with regret I advise that Gaidyn Flay marched off to the Gunpark in the Sky. Gaidyn passed away on 11th November 2017 at Rossendale, Hamilton, aged 82.

Gunner Matt Gauldie's War Horse statue will be unveiled at the Armistice Day Commemorations in Hamilton this Saturday 11th Nov. Starts 1030 at Memorial Park. Unfortunately I cannot attend, but it would be good if the Waikato Gunners were out in force to support Matt.
11/4 Bty, 16 Fd Regt will be conducting a charter parade through Papakura next Saturday the 18th. We will be renewing the Charter once held by 11A Bty. The colour gun will be on parade, as will the RNZA Band. If you are in the area it will be an awesome day for all Gunners.
We have had a request from a Lindsay Campbell, the son of a WW2 14th Light Anti-Aircraft Regt gunner, who is trying to find an official Army photo or photos that were taken of the Regt at Papakura before they left for the war.
